  • Busy family with older children on North Shore seeks full time nanny / house manager, to start immediately. 
  • Two school ages children. Children are very involved in activities. Including but not limited to: swimming, fall, water polo, gymnastics, swim club, girl scouts, field hockey, choir, soccer,  running. 
  • Mother travels very extensively internationally for work and caregiver must be able to roll up sleeves and take charge without overstepping.

  • Busy Lakeview family with toddler and a baby expected this summer is seeking a full time nanny.
  • Monday through Friday 7:15 a.m.-5:45 p.m. Flexibility is key; parents do have occasional evening dinners and meetings, and sometime have to travel. Nanny should be able to spend the night on occasion. Weekend hours are also an option, but are not required.
  • Competitive compensation, including paid sick/personal days; paid holidays; and paid vacation, to be arranged with the family well in advance.

  • Monday, 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.; Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • Competitive salary and benefits, including paid holidays, paid sick/personal days; and paid vacation
  • Driving is not required. 
  • One dog and one cat. No extraordinary care if required of the pets, although both dog and cat will be slow to warm up. Nanny must not have allergies and be very comfortable around animals.
  • Both parents work from home one separate day a week. There is not a separate office; nanny will need to be an expert in soothing baby, and keeping baby quiet during telephone calls.
  • Family is using cloth diapers; nanny must have prior experience using cloth diapers and be comfortable with them.
  • Mother is pumping breastmilk, and baby will be given expressed breastmilk. Nanny should have prior experience with this.
  • Nanny should be friendly, attentive, nurturing, neat and organized.
  • Should be versed in baby sign language.
  • Nanny should be comfortable with educationally appropriate activities to stimulate babies, and children as baby grows. Nanny will be reading to child daily.
  • NO TV or electronic media should be on or used on a regular basis.
  • Nanny should be versed in infant and child CPR; should either have current certification or be willing to take class to obtain certification.
  • Responsibilities should include all feeding of the baby; keeping parents informed of child's eating and behavior during the day by sending texts or e-mails; naps; changing and keeping child clean; providing age appropriate engaging activities for child, etc.
  • Additional responsibilities include light housework, such as keeping common areas of the house clean; child's laundry; dishes; maintaining play areas.
  • Preference will be given to nannies who have early childhood education experience.
  • Must come from a non smoking household.

Professional South Loop family looking for mature, organized nanny and house manger.
  • Family in South Loop seeks full time nanny / house manger to care for their two school age children, starting in December
  • Hours will vary, but will be consistent. School year schedule will typically be 12:00 noon. - 8:00 p.m; Summer hours are 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
  • Responsibilities include picking up at school and taking to after school activities; managing homework, cooking dinner and feeding children, preparing lunch and snacks; managing bedtime routine
  • Both children have severe nut allergies; experience managing and diligence would be very helpful.
  • Occasionally nanny will be required to drop children off before school; occasional overnights and weekends are also required.  
  • Excellent salary and benefits, including paid vacation and holidays.
  • Must drive; must have insurance, a good driving record and a car for use on the job
  • Should be responsible, energetic, enthusiastic and creative.
  • Flexibility is a main requirement as both parents travel for work and schedules will vary.
  • Ability to travel with family ideal, but may not be required; subject to negotiation.
  • Nanny will also be expected to help with household management responsibilities, including laundry, grocery shopping, dry cleaning and keeping household organized.
  • Should be able and willing to take the initiative to do what needs to be done.
  • Parents may occasionally work from home.

  • Four children, elementary school age through high school.
  • Care is primarily for two youngest children.
  • Top salary and full benefits, including health insurance; paid sick/personal days; paid holidays; and paid vacation.
  • Monday through Friday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m., flexibility is required.
  • Nanny will need to stay late or come early on occasion.
  • Ideal applicant is able to work one or two Saturdays per month with notice.
  • A possibility of travel (international and domestic) with the family.
  • Candidate must drive and have a good driving record; family provides a vehicle for use on the job.
  • Primary focus is on providing a engaging, loving atmosphere for the children and ensuring their safety.
  • Nanny should be experienced with school age children; detail oriented; discrete; great communication and organizational skills; self motivated; creative; engaging; be a team player and problem solver.
  • Escort children to and from school; playdates; activities; doctor’s appointments, informational school meetings if parents are unavailable, etc.; preparing activities, snacks and supplies for children.
  • There is a household staff (housekeeper  - provides laundry, ironing, and cleaning; chef; and house manger.
  • Nanny should be able to work well with other individuals, and be comfortable in a household where multiple staff members are present.
  • Ideal applicant is tech savvy (can text, enter activities / events for children in calendar, etc.).
  • When children are in school, nanny will do the grocery shopping; run errands pertaining to the children and organize children’s belongings and activities.
  • Applicant should be very physically fit and be able to engage in physical activities with the children i.e. skiing, swimming, biking, etc.
  • Family has two puppies that nanny will be responsible for feeding and walking when the children are in school.
