  • Monday through Friday 7:15 a.m.-5:45 p.m. Flexibility is key; parents do have occasional evening dinners and meetings, and sometime have to travel. Nanny should be able to spend the night on occasion. Weekend hours are also an option, but are not required.

  • Option to travel with the family is available but NOT required.

  • Parent's would love a nanny that is comfortable with with text and e-mail regarding the schedule and what the children are doing throughout the day.
  • All care of the children is the highest priority.
  • Toddler goes to preschool part time. Nanny will drop child off and pick child up from school. 
  • Engaging with children is always the highest priority. However, the nanny should be willing to grocery shop; cook simple healthy kid friendly meals family; do laundry and light housekeeping.
  • Family has one cat and one dog. Therefore, nanny should like animals and not be allergic.

Highly experienced Nanny Manager for Executive Lincoln Park family with Two School Age Children

  • Family needs flexibility and a typical work week is 40 hours. The hours may occasionally shift as needed to accommodate the parents work/travel schedule. May need occasionally need to stay overnight or until later in the evening.
  • Weekends are NOT required. The family believes that weekends are time for you to recharge and they have weekend sitters.
  • Travel to the family’s Michigan home (90 minutes away)  maybe requested during children's school breaks/ in the summer. There is additional pay for overnights / extra hours / travel.
  • Daily driving the children to and from school & activities/making lunches/scheduling play dates, play and read etc. Typically nanny duties and supervising homework and projects.
  • Full Management of household- grocery shopping, basic cooking, basic daily straightening up, organizing, coordinating repairs inside and outside, household/personal errands, all laundry except master sheets & towels, care for plants, family style light cooking.  
  • The family does have a housekeeper that does the DEEP cleaning 2x/week-- one day all day and Friday for a few hours-- she vacuums, mop, master sheets and towels, bathrooms etc.).
  • The position includes great salary plus excellent benefits such as paid vacation, holidays, sick days etc.
  • College degree and background in education or child development is a requirement of the position. This is non - negotiable. 
  • The family is looking for someone very strong that can effectively manage their time and help to create a warm, consistent, stable environment and provide the necessary structure and discipline for two school age children.

  • Family can offer approximately 44 hours per week. Schedule will be arranged in advance. Temtative schedule is approximately Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-7 p.m., with one day off per week, and opportunity to leave at 2:00 p.m. another day. Flexibility is key; occasionally it will be desirable (with advance notice) to stay later.
  • Family would like the nanny to shadow the current nanny for approximately one week; ideally position should start about March 3rd.
  • Mother is a stay at home mother, so schedule can be flexible. Nanny needs to be comfortable with this arrangement, and ideally, is familiar and has worked in this type of position before.
  • Travel with the family is possible, if the family so desires.
  • Driving is not necessary. Parking is available for nanny's car, if needed.

  • Both parents are physicians.
  • Monday through Friday, starting between 6 and 7 a.m.-end time is variable; sometime between 4 and 6 p.m. Nanny will need to be flexible if both parents are delayed at work.
  • Competitve salary and benefits, including paid sick days; paid holidays; and paid vacation, to be coordinated with the family. 
  • Nanny should have extensive experience working with toddlers; verifiable references are required.
  • Nanny must drive and have a safe driving record; Nanny should supply a safe, serviceable vehicle with proof of insurance and room for a car seat. Family will reimburse for mileage directly related to on the job travel. 
  • As both parents are physicians, the nanny needs to be extremely flexible. There may be occasions when one parent has worked through the night, and is home asleep during the day. Nanny needs to be respectful of the situation.
  • Responsibilities will include all care of the toddler, including meals; toilet training; naps; play; playdates; and developmentally appropriate games and activities. Other responsibilities include grocery shopping (nanny will be reimbursed by family); laundry; organizing and cleaning kitchen and play areas; washing dishes; running errands.
  • Toddler has a love of reading and has been learning sign language. An knowledge of American Sign Language would be very useful.
  • Family has specific dietary requirements, which must be adhered to.
  • A background in early childhood education or experience as a teacher would be an asset.
  • Excellent English required.
  • Must be very physically fit, active, and able to keep up with the demands of a busy toddler. Additionally, the home is a townhome with several flights of stairs.
  • Family has one cat who is very loving and affectionate. If nanny could manage to take cat to PetCo to have the nails trimmed, it would be appreciated. Parents will reimburse. Nanny should not have allergies and like animals.
