Dynamic Chicago family seeks live-in nanny / house manger.
  • Position includes separate 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen, bath, livingroom and entrance.
  • Family has three school age children.
  • Position is Monday through Friday 7AM to 6:30 PM with the need for occasional flexibility as family is a single parent home and parent is a surgeon.
  • Duties include family style cooking, laundry and light housekeeping. Housekeeper comes two days per week for deep cleaning. Ideal applicant is very familiar with Asian cooking.
  • Ideal applicant is flexible, warm, engaging, looking for a long-term position and comfortable working with other members of a domestic staff.
  • Position includes competitive compensation, paid holidays, and vacation etc.
  • Driving is not required.
  • Second nanny is on staff five days a week in the afternoon to help with homework and driving the children.
  • This is a lovely family that has had the same house manager for 10 years and it is an excellentopportunity for the right person.

  • Two children elementary school age.
  • Hours are Monday through Thursday 11:00AM to 6:30PM 
  • Highly competitive salary ($23 to $27 /hour) plus benefits including paid vacation, holidays, sick days.
  • Nanny must drive, and have a clean driving record. Family will supply a car. 
  • Nanny should be energetic,  loving, dependable, sensitive and fun but able to discipline effectively and supervise / help with homework and projects.
  • Nanny is responsible for occasionally getting children ready for school in the morning, and picking them up after school; helping with homework; preparing meals; and transportation to and from activities.

North Shore Family Seeks Top Nanny House Manager - Kenilworth, IL 60043

  • Busy family with older children on North Shore seeks full time nanny / house manager, to start immediately. 
  • Two school ages children. Children are very involved in activities. Including but not limited to: swimming, fall, water polo, gymnastics, swim club, girl scouts, field hockey, choir, soccer,  running. 
  • Mother travels very extensively internationally for work and caregiver must be able to roll up sleeves and take charge without overstepping. 
  • 50 hours per week.; applicant must be flexible and will occasionally need to be available in evenings or when parents travel (2-3 times per month). 
  • Generous salary and benefits, including vacation, and holidays. 
  • Applicant must drive and have a clean driving record; family supplies a vehicle for use while on the job. 
  • Caregiver must be extremely flexible and willing to do whatever is necessary to help family. Family is extremely busy. Must be comfortable in a hectic, fast paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Ideal caregiver should be comfortable developing a mentoring relationship with older children; experience dealing with older children is extremely helpful. 
  • Applicant should make sure children get to school and activities on time; facilitate homework; prepare occasional meals; and be able/willing to stay overnight on occasion. 
  • Caregiver will also serve as a house manager, scheduling repairs; doing light housework, including laundry, grocery shopping and running errands. 
  • Family has one small dog. Applicant will need to be comfortable with dogs, and let dog out. 
  • Caregiver will also take dog to vet and groomers, as needed. 
  • Applicant must be comfortable working with other members of a domestic staff including a chef and housekeeper. 
  • Parents may work from home on occasion. Home is accessible by train; parking is readily available.

Growing Lakeview Family is seeking a full time nanny, to begin as soon as possible.
  • Busy Lakeview family with toddler and a baby expected this summer is seeking a full time nanny.
  • Monday through Friday 7:15 a.m.-5:45 p.m. Flexibility is key; parents do have occasional evening dinners and meetings, and sometime have to travel. Nanny should be able to spend the night on occasion. Weekend hours are also an option, but are not required.
  • Competitive compensation, including paid sick/personal days; paid holidays; and paid vacation, to be arranged with the family well in advance.
  • Option to travel with the family is available but NOT required.
  • Nanny should drive and have a safe driving record. Family could supply a car for the right candidate. Ideally, the nanny should be able to supply a safe, serviceable vehicle with proof of insurance and room for two car seats. Parking could be arranged.
  • Ideal nanny should be highly experienced; patient; warm and affectionate. Also should be able to discipline when appropriate.
  • Good communicator, who isn't afraid to ask questions for clarification. However, nanny should be self directed and willing to take the initiative without being told.
  • Tidy, clean and organized.
  • Flexible- is key-able to stay late on occasion if parents are traveling or working late; and spend the night if necessary - this is very rare. 
  • Nanny should be fit and energetic and committed to healthy eating. Nanny should be able to provide a healthy diet for children and model good food choices. 
  • Should be fluent in English, second language is a plus but not required, so that children become accustomed to another language.
  • Parent's would love a nanny that is comfortable with with text and e-mail regarding the schedule and what the children are doing throughout the day.
  • All care of the children is the highest priority.
  • Toddler goes to preschool part time. Nanny will drop child off and pick child up from school. 
  • Engaging with children is always the highest priority. However, the nanny should be willing to grocery shop; cook simple healthy kid friendly meals family; do laundry and light housekeeping.
  • Family has one cat and one dog. Therefore, nanny should like animals and not be allergic.

Highly experienced Nanny Manager for Executive Lincoln Park family with Two School Age Children

  • Family needs flexibility and a typical work week is 40 hours. The hours may occasionally shift as needed to accommodate the parents work/travel schedule. May need occasionally need to stay overnight or until later in the evening.
  • Weekends are NOT required. The family believes that weekends are time for you to recharge and they have weekend sitters.
  • Travel to the family’s Michigan home (90 minutes away)  maybe requested during children's school breaks/ in the summer. There is additional pay for overnights / extra hours / travel.
  • Daily driving the children to and from school & activities/making lunches/scheduling play dates, play and read etc. Typically nanny duties and supervising homework and projects.
  • Full Management of household- grocery shopping, basic cooking, basic daily straightening up, organizing, coordinating repairs inside and outside, household/personal errands, all laundry except master sheets & towels, care for plants, family style light cooking.  
  • The family does have a housekeeper that does the DEEP cleaning 2x/week-- one day all day and Friday for a few hours-- she vacuums, mop, master sheets and towels, bathrooms etc.).
  • The position includes great salary plus excellent benefits such as paid vacation, holidays, sick days etc.
  • College degree and background in education or child development is a requirement of the position. This is non - negotiable. 
  • The family is looking for someone very strong that can effectively manage their time and help to create a warm, consistent, stable environment and provide the necessary structure and discipline for two school age children.

  • Monday through Friday, 2:30p.m.-8 p.m. Possibility of additional hours desired, but not required.
  • Position might require a little flexibility.

  • Nanny must drive and have a clean driving record; family supplies a vehicle for use on the job.

  • Children range in age from 16 months - 12 year old. With the exception of the two youngest, all children are in school full days
  • Monday through Friday, 9 am to 6 p.m. (compensation is based on a 45 hour work week). Occasional weekends may be requested.
