  • Professional family in Barrington seeks full time nanny for their two children, to begin as soon as possible.
  • Two school age children
  • Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
  • No nights, no weekends, no travel with the family required.
  • Nanny should drive and have a clean driving record; nanny should be able to supply a clean, serviceable vehicle with proof of insurance and room for two car seats. Family will reimburse for mileage.
  • Competitive salary and benefits, including paid sick/personal days, paid holidays and paid vacation (ideally to coincide with family vacation).
  • Nanny should be responsible, dependable, reliable, loving and nurturing. Should be energetic, creative, n=mature and engaging with the children. Nanny should be organized and proactively play with the children. A background in education is highly desirable, but not required. An excellent command of English is necessary.
  • Nanny will be responsible for getting children to and from school; local activities and play dates. She will be responsible for their meals and snacks. The nanny should have both the ability and the background to help supervise homework, etc. 
  • When children are in school, the nanny will be expected to help with home responsibilities and errands, such as light cleaning, grocery shopping, errands, organization, etc. The nanny will assume responsibility for laundry and general maintenance of the household.
  • Nanny should have at least 3-5 years of professional nanny experience, with verifiable references..
  • Family feels it is essential that nanny is aligned with parents’ parenting style, so there is continuity.
  • Home is not accessible by public transportation; parking is readily available.

Family is seeking a nanny manager for their one preschooler , to begin as soon as possible.
  • Monday through Friday, from 7:45 a.m.-5:15 p.m. Occasionally nanny will need to come in earlier or stay later, if one of the parents is travelling; this is expected to be about 1-2 times every couple of months.
  • Competitive compensation, plus benefits,  including paid sick/personal days; paid holidays and paid vacation.
  • Nanny must have verifiable experience working with preschool aged children. Family is hoping to have the same nanny a long time.
  • One parents works from home office when not travelling;  nanny must be comfortable with this arrangement.
  • Nanny must be upbeat, playful, cheerful, and reliable. Nanny should be hard working and proactive; willing to see what needs to be done and accomplishing it. 
  • Ideal applicant should have a love for engaging in activities that utilize the child's imagination, rather than structured activities. Nanny must enjoy playing outdoors, reading stories, listening to classical music, and playing pretend. Family believes in learning through play, and would like a nanny who has a similar philosophy. 
  • Responsibilities include driving child to and from school; after-school care; cooking simple family dinners; keeping kitchen and other main areas neat; doing child's laundry; organizing areas around the house; grocery shopping and running other errands for the family; and walking dog. 
  • Nanny must be comfortable with a large (very friendly) dog, extra hours will be available a few times a year for dog-sitting. Nanny should not have allergies and be comfortable with dogs.
  • Nanny must drive and have a clean driving record; family supplies a car for use on the job.

Dynamic family in northern/northwestern suburbs seeks full time nanny / family assistant for their family, to begin as soon as possible. 
  • Nanny must be high energy, extremely organized and flexible.
  • Monday through Wednesday, from 7:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. and Fridays as needed.
  • Top of the market compensation, including paid holidays and vacation; personal and sick days; and health insurance contribution available for the right candidate.
  • Family has three children under five; oldest child goes to school three days a week, part time. 
  • Position requires a significant amount of both domestic and international travel; up to 10 days away at a time.
  • Ideal applicant has worked in high net worth households, worked in a domestic capacity with other members of a household staff, and be comfortable with an employer that is at home.
  • Must be a team player, intuitive, and discreet.  Nanny should be hard working, proactive, responsible, organized, nurturing, etc.
  • Nanny will assume all care of the children, including children’s laundry (as needed when not done by housekeeper) and keeping their rooms clean; common areas picked up, etc.

Busy family in Barrington seeks energetic nanny  manager for their six children, to begin as soon as possible.
  • Children range in age from 16 months - 12 year old. With the exception of the two youngest, all children are in school full days
  • Monday through Friday, 9 am to 6 p.m. (compensation is based on a 45 hour work week). Occasional weekends may be requested.
  • Excellent salary and compensation, including possible health insurance, paid holidays and paid vacation.
  • 55K to 58K per year pluss full benefits 
  • Nanny should drive and have a good driving record. Family provides a vehicle for use on the job.
  • Nanny should be experienced, and used to dealing with large families. She should be able to handle noise and the demands of a busy household.
  • Nanny should be organized; compassionate; good hearted; responsible; a multi tasker; someone who can step in and help out without a lot of direction.
  • Nanny will have all responsibilities for childcare, as well as household responsibilities, such as laundry; light cleaning of the home; and light meal preparation.
  • Mother does stay at home with children, but due to the number of children, a lot of transportation is involved dropping off and picking up from school and activities.
  • Nanny should be able to anticipate the needs of the children, whether it is materials for a school project, keeping them busy with activities, meals and snacks, etc.Ideal applicant is flexible, warm, creative, engaging, looking for a long-term position.
